昨年ご好評頂いた Flipper Cap の新色です。トップボタンとツバ裏のカラーを変更し、よりポップなテイストに。
素材は velo spica のプロダクトで既に定評のあるsupplex®︎ナイロン生地にしました。コットンライクな質感と多様な機能を併せ持つ優れた繊維です。そしてツバ裏の生地のみボディに比べ汗を吸収し易く速乾性に優れたT/C生地にしました。ナイロン繊維にありがちな汗染みの軽減を狙ったものです。 肌に触れる汗止めは、こちらも定番のCOOLMAX®︎製。
素材はもちろんでディテールにも拘りました。ヴィンテージのベースボールキャップにも見られる8パネルのパターンは、頭に沿った美しい丸みが特徴です。実際の被りの深さに対して帽子がコンパクトで浅めに見えるデザインは今の気分に良くハマります。近年一般的な6パネルと比べ、パーツが多く、手間が掛かる仕様ですので、8パネルを製作しているところ自体が減ってきています。
さらに縫製に関して特筆すべきは、裏(下)糸がチェーンステッチ仕様で縫われているところです。 デニムでは今でも使われる事の多い仕様ですが、以前はアメリカ製のキャップの多くがこの仕様でした。 そんなヴィンテージへのオマージュです。
TECHな素材に古典的なディテールを掛け合わせたネオ・ヴィンテージと言えるのではないでしょうか。
ちなみにこの裏チェーンステッチで帽子を製作出来る工場は日本国内ではもう数社しか残っておらず、今後益々希少になってくるはずです。
ツバは前回同様、柔らかく折りたたむ事も出来、かつ形をキープさせやすい特殊な加工が施されたフレックス・バイザーを採用しています。またvelo spica のツバの特徴でもあるフリップ・アップ(視界を広げたい時にはツバを上に跳ね上げる)して被ることも可能です。

生地は下ろしたては、ややしっかり目に撥水します。
洗い込んで行くうちに汗吸いし易く、コットンライクな良い風合いになっていきます。
文末の洗濯方法にご留意頂いた上、使用毎に洗濯して頂く事をお薦めしております。

FLEX VISOR
ツバの中の芯材は厚みは2mmと、しっかりした厚みがありながら、折れる事なく丸められる柔らかさと、指で形を付けられる程よい硬さを併せ持った新定番フレキシブル・バイザーを採用しました。 ツバをフラットにかぶる事も、曲げてかぶる事も出来ます。

※ 洗濯は中性洗剤での手洗いをお勧めしております。なお干す時は、軽く生地を伸ばし、帽子の形を整えてから、日陰で平干し、もしくは吊り干しして下さい。もし洗濯機を使用する場合は洗濯ネットをお使い下さい。生地は汗を吸った状態で放置しますと黄ばみや変色の原因となりますので適度な洗濯をお願い致します。
※ フリップアップは背面のアジャスターをややしっかりとテンションがかかるように調整した方が上げ下げがし易くなります。
※ ツバを丸めて小さく畳む事も可能です。素材の性質上、繰り返し畳む事でナイロン生地・メッシュ生地は柔らかくなっていきます。硬い状態が良い場合は、畳まずにお使い下さい。水洗いしてスチームアイロンをかける事で型崩れはある程度戻ります。
※ 長時間高温の場所に放置しておくとツバの形が変形する恐れがあります。 保管する際は日陰の高温になりにくい場所でお願い致します。



The material used is supplex® nylon, a fabric already well known in velo spica's product line. It is an excellent fiber that combines a cotton-like texture with a variety of functionality. Only the fabric behind the brim is made of T/C fabric, which absorbs sweat more easily and dries more quickly than the body fabric. This is intended to reduce sweat stains that are common with nylon fabrics.
The material is of course the main concern, but the details as well.
The 8-panel pattern, as seen in vintage baseball caps, has a beautiful rounded shape that follows the line of the head. The cap's compact and shallow design, compared to the actual depth of the headband, fits well with today's trends. In recent years, there have been fewer and fewer 8-panel caps being made because of the large number of parts and the time and effort required compared to the 6-panel cap.
What is also noteworthy about the sewing is that the back (lower) thread is sewn in chain stitch. This is a specification that is still often used in jeans, but in the past, many American- made caps had this specification. This is a homage to the vintage.
It is a neo-vintage design that combines classic detailing with tech materials. There are only a few factories in Japan that can produce hats with this back chain stitching, and it will become more and more rare as time goes by. The brim is made of ”flex visor” which is soft, foldable and easy to keep its shape. The brim can also be flipped up, which is a characteristic of velo spica's brims, for a wider field of vision. The well-known COOLMAX® material is used to prevent perspiration and keep the wearer comfortable.
The fabric is slightly water-repellent when freshly worn. As the fabric is washed, it absorbs perspiration easily and develops a good cotton-like texture. We recommend that you wash it after each use, paying attention to the washing instructions at the end of this document.

FLEX VISOR
The core material inside the brim is 2mm thick, which is a new standard ”flex visor” that is both soft enough to be rolled up without breaking and hard enough to be shaped with fingers, while still being firm. The brim can be worn flat or bent.

・We recommend hand washing with a mild detergent. When drying, stretch the fabric lightly to shape the hat and spin dry or hang dry in the shade. If using a washing machine, use a laundry net. If the fabric is left to absorb perspiration, it may turn yellow or discolor, so please wash the hat in moderation.
・Flip-ups can be easily raised and lowered by adjusting the adjuster on the back so that the tension is a little tighter.
・It is also possible to fold the brim into a smaller size. Due to the characteristics of the material, the nylon and mesh fabrics will become softer by frequent folding. If you prefer it to be hard, please use without folding.
・If the product is left in a high temperature environment for a long period of time, the shape of the brim may become deformed. When storing the product, please keep it in a shady place where it will not be exposed to high temperatures.
